I am simply more interested in how I paint, rather than what I paint. It is the process and style of painting that drives me. The paintings either succeed or fail depending on how well the paint is placed.

I have been heavily influenced by Richard Diebenkorn, Elmer Bischoff, Jenny Saville, Peter Precourt, Rebecca Alston, and Joan Mitchell.
